“Who's taken care of arrangements?” asked Bob.
“I have,” said Duffy. “I alerted the local and the national news media. All our friends will be there. We told National Public Radio and Public Television to send representatives. They've become pretty docile these days and can be expected to tow the line on their “Boring Edition” and “Some Things Considered” news programs. I arranged for the demonstrators and pickets. About fifty of them will show up. I also made the arrangements for the provocateurs. They will have Schmiegal for President signs and we told them to bring bricks and crowbars so they can start a fight and break some heads. We arranged for taxis to pick them up in Bellevue and in Redmond and drive them to Garfield High School in Seattle. Mean cusses, these guys are. But they're pros. We've used them before.”
The pilot came on the PA. “Gentlemen, prepare for landing in Seattle.”
“Alright,” said Bob. “You all know what to do and when to do it. Let's save our country and put an end to this Schmiegal campaign."
